Brrrr, Let’s Prepare for Winter:
The community is preparing for Winter (although the weather this week makes us think
it is already here). The waterfall feature at Split Rock Gardens as well as irrigation throughout the community have been turned off. Full winterization will be completed within the next couple of weeks. The bathrooms at the Lodge will be Closed as of this weekend and will be fully winterized.

For those of us with propane tanks, let’s check our tank levels now. Call your propane
provider soon to top off your tank before the busy season begins.

Mountain Women’s Lunch Bunch:
In the spirit of community for November, The MWLB will be on Friday, November 14th, 3:00 pm at Dot’s Fine Wine & Craft in Ball Ground. There will be a beautiful charcuterie board, a glass of wine of your choice or beer and gathering in the back room gearing up for the beginning of the holiday season. The cost is $30 per person, payable that day at Dot’s. If you want to enjoy yourself more, you can also shop for your Thanksgiving dinner needs while supporting a small business. If spouses want to join in on the fun, they could pop by after 5:00 pm. I will need a headcount by SUNDAY, November 9th. We need at least EIGHT ladies to join us, I hope you can. Please RSVP to Elizabeth Wilke asap at 678-596-5545 or elizabethwilke17@gmail.com.

The next Happy Hour will take place at Sharp Mountain Winery (just outside our front gate) on 11/9 from 2-4PM. The owners have an offer to buy one glass of wine and get a second glass of wine for 50% off. They also have beer, sodas, and bottled water as well.

If interested, they have delicious charcuterie boards available for purchase too! It is a chance to continue our gatherings and help support our local winery! These are all the futures dates for Happy Hours at the Winery as well 12/7, 1/11, 2/8, 3/8, and 4/12. Let’s support our small (very) local business, everyone is welcome!
