Save the Date – Please reserve Saturday, June 6 in your calendars for a Preserve Workday as we join the Roads Committee in repairing erosion along the shoulders of our roadways. More information, including start time and volunteer details, will follow soon. We appreciate everyone who can lend a hand helping maintain and improve our community.
Happy Hour – Join your neighbors on Sunday, May 17th at 5:00 PM for a fun and relaxed evening together. All are welcome—whether you’re a longtime resident or new to the community. Feel free to bring an appetizer or dessert to share and remember it’s BYOB. It’s always a great time with good conversation, laughter, and friendly faces—we hope to see you there! Your host from the social committee will be Michelle Hendren.
Neighborhood Nosh – Dinner with friends? No dishes? Middle of the week slump? Neighborhood Nosh is the answer! It will be Wednesday, May 20th at Woodbridge Inn at 6:00 pm. Join us! RSVP to Elizabeth Wilke at: elizabethwilke17@gmail.com or 678-596-5545. Please let her know by FRIDAY, MAY 15th.
Namaste Neighbors – Come stretch, breathe, and connect with your community at our Lodge for Lawn Yoga – a calm, feel-good class with just the right touch of fun. First & third Wednesdays – weather permitting, beginning May 20th at 9:30 AM on the Lodge Lawn. This is yoga for every body—no experience, flexibility, or fancy poses required. Just bring a mat, some water, a folding chair (if you need help getting off the ground), and a willingness to unwind in the fresh mountain air. Led by resident Colleen Kazanchy, you’ll be guided through a gentle, relaxing flow designed to ease tension, quiet the mind, and maybe even spark a few smiles along the way. Tips aren’t just for cow pose… donations are always welcome. Come for the stretch, stay for the neighbors, we can’t wait to see you there!
Movie Night – Grab your chairs, your blankets, and your snack strategy—it’s Movie Night at The Lodge! Join us Friday, May 29th at 8:00 PM for an outdoor showing of the comedy classic The Great Outdoors… because nothing says “relaxing community evening” like raccoons, bears, and John Candy. Please bring your own: Chair or blanket, Drinks, Snacks, Any additional survival equipment for a night in the wilds of The Lodge pavilion. Air-popped popcorn will be available while supplies last. Come enjoy a fun night under the stars with neighbors, laughs, and hopefully fewer mosquitoes than the movie had bears.
Annual Picnic – The Preserve Annual Picnic is almost here! All residents are invited to join us on Saturday, June 13th from 5:30–8:30 PM for an evening of food, music, laughter, and community fun. A huge thank you to everyone who participated in our picnic survey – we received 48 responses, and your feedback was incredibly helpful in planning this year’s event. After reviewing the results, the favorite choice was clear: The Preserve will provide the BBQ. Residents are invited to bring a side dish or dessert to share. PLEASE RSVP to Donna Brunson at dsbrunson16@gmail.com so we don’t run out of BBQ!
Here’s how the voting turned out:
• 36.2% — BBQ provided + residents bring a side or dessert
