A FRIENDLY REQUEST – If you’ve hired a realtor or photographer to use a drone in the neighborhood, please let them know they may be approached by residents if their activity is reported as suspicious. We appreciate their willingness to identify themselves and share who engaged their services. This helps keep everyone informed and prevents unnecessary concern.

ANNUAL PICNIC – The Preserve Annual Picnic is TOMORROW! All residents are invited to join us on Saturday, June 13th from 5:30–8:30 PM for an evening filled with food, music, laughter, and community fun. The Preserve will provide the BBQ. The Strawberry Showdown will also be happening. Residents are invited to bring a strawberry-inspired dessert to enter into our first-ever dessert competition. Homemade masterpieces and store-bought-with-flair creations are both welcome. Think: Strawberry shortcake, Cheesecake, Strawberry pie, Bars, trifles, cookies, cobblers, cupcakes & other berry delicious creations! The Board of Directors will serve as the official judging panel. We will be setting up on Saturday morning at 9:30 at The Lodge. If you would like to help set up and/or cleanup we would greatly appreciate it!
As an optional community outreach effort during the picnic, residents are welcome to bring pantry donations for Pickens Feeds Pickens if you would like to participate. Please know this is completely voluntary and simply an extra opportunity for anyone who may wish to contribute—no obligation whatsoever. This community-wide effort helps keep the Little Free Food Pantries at our local schools stocked throughout the summer, so children and families continue to have access to food while school is out. Our donations will support Tate Elementary School’s Little Free Pantry during the week of June 22nd. Items that are especially helpful are kid-friendly, shelf-stable foods that are easy for children to open and prepare, including: Peanut butter & jelly, Mac & cheese cups, Granola bars, Fruit cups & applesauce. Ramen noodles, Soup, ravioli, or spaghetti cans, Crackers & snack packs, Oatmeal packets, Shelf-stable milk & juice boxes. Whether you bring a donation or not, we’re looking forward to a wonderful evening together at the picnic.
CUL-DE-SAC SOCIAL – Join your neighbors for the very first Cul-de-Sac Social hosted by David & Elizabeth Wilke on Terrace Way on Friday, June 19th at 6:30 PM until the streetlights come on- errr or until it is too dark to see! This is as casual as it gets: Bring your own chair, bring a lantern or two, bring your own snacks and maybe some to share, bring your own drinks and bring your neighborly spirit! The Wilkes will provide music, a few games, a big trough of ice for drinks, and a relaxed place to gather, laugh, mingle, and enjoy a summer evening together. All residents are welcome—we hope to see you there! If you have a side by side, please use that vehicle, although there is space for cars as well.
YOGA – Yoga at The Lodge will be held on Wednesday, June 24th at 9:30 am instead of the original third Wednesday of the month. It is a beautiful way to begin the day. Hope to see you there.
