HAPPY HOUR – A Taste of Summer! Join us this Sunday, August 23rd from 5:00–7:00 PM at The Lodge for Happy Hour. Your host this week will be Jamie Cowart. Bring your favorite beverage (BYOB) and an appetizer or dessert to share. Since it’s still summer, we thought it might be fun to bring a little summer flavor to the table. Think watermelon feta bites, caprese skewers, fresh fruit salsa, peach cobbler, strawberry shortcake, lemon bars, or whatever says summer to you. And if you have absolutely no interest in a theme, no worries at all! Bring whatever you love. We’re really here for the good food, good conversation, and good company, whether you’re catching up with longtime friends or getting to know a neighbor. YOGA – Namaste & Stretch — One Last Yoga Class! Wednesday, September 2 at 9:30 AM at The Lodge. Come one, come all for one last beautiful morning of yoga with Colleen! Join us at The Lodge for a little stretching, breathing, and tree-mendous relaxation surrounded by the beauty of the woods. Whether you’re a seasoned yogi or your idea of yoga is successfully touching your toes, everyone is welcome. Need a stretch? We’ve got you covered. Need to unwind? Just breathe. Need a reason to get out of bed? Consider this your sign to rise and shine. Let’s stretch the limits of fun, find our balance, and enjoy one more peaceful morning together in this beautiful setting. MOUNTAIN WOMEN’S LUNCH BUNCH – Our September Lunch Bunch will be held on Thursday, September 10th at 12:30 p.m. at Woodbridge Inn. If you plan on attending, please let Michelle Hendren know by September 9th at 678-895-3090.
OKTOBERFEST – Oktoberfest at The Lodge will be on Friday, September 18th at 6:00 PM. Munich may be a little too far to travel this year, so we’re bringing Oktoberfest home! Come join your neighbors for a festive evening filled with German-inspired food, good company, and plenty of fun. Dinner will be catered by Frankfurt Doner & Meats in Ballground and will include bratwurst, warm pretzels, German potato salad, and other Oktoberfest favorites. BYOB, and if you have a beverage you love to share, feel free to bring a little extra for the table. Want to get into the spirit? Break out the lederhosen or dirndl! Dressing up is absolutely optional, but always more fun when a few neighbors get into the theme. No passport, plane ticket, or international travel required. FALL FEST – Save the Date 10/3 – Fall is calling! (even if it is 90 degrees today) and we’re answering with chili, cornhole, and apple desserts! Join your neighbors for one of our favorite fall traditions featuring our Chili Cook-Off, Cornhole Tournament, and Apple Dessert Competition. Whether you’re ready to defend your famous chili recipe, show off your cornhole skills, bake up something delicious with apples, or simply come hungry and cheer everyone on, there’s a place for you! Expect a relaxed afternoon filled with good food, friendly competition, a little bragging rights, and lots of neighborly fun. So, save the date, dust off that secret chili recipe, practice your cornhole toss, and start thinking about what you can do with an apple! More details and sign-up information coming soon. Apparently, summer has decided to stay for an encore. The forecast promises a whopping 5-degree cool-down this weekend, so try not to break out the hot chocolate just yet. Until then, keep the AC humming, the ice flowing, and remember we chose mountain living for the views, not the air conditioning bill!
